Romy is a dragonfly wall piece with a body in aged dark metal, dotted and bronzed across the back, and four wings of woven jute stretched over a wire frame. Each wing is edged in twisted rope, and the weave is open enough to let the wall colour show through.

The wingspan is about 50 cm, so it sits well on its own or grouped in a loose flight across a wall or up a stairwell. It is very light and hangs from a single hook. It pairs with the larger white dragonfly, sold separately.

Care & Keeping

Dust gently with a soft dry cloth or a soft brush, working with the weave on the jute wings rather than against it. Keep it indoors and out of damp, since the jute and the painted finish are not made for weather.

Because Romy is hand-finished, slight variations in patina, texture and grain are natural and add to the unique character of each piece. Colour may also vary slightly between screens, all photography is taken in natural light.
