The Plumier Pair is a set of two flamingo floor sculptures finished in a soft antique gold patina with darker silver-grey rubbed into the recesses. Each bird is built up from individually cut and shaped metal feathers, layered like real plumage across the body, wings and tail. The graceful S-curve of the necks brings them together as a courting pair.
One bird stands taller (86 cm), the other slightly shorter (76.5 cm), so they read naturally as a couple rather than a matching pair of bookends. They balance on twisted iron legs set into oval bases, free-standing and ready to display straight out of the box.
