A trumpet raised on a candlestick foot, wearing the fleur de lis like a medal.
Guido is an urn vase in iron, his flared trumpet cup carrying a raised fleur de lis emblem on the front and standing on a turned candlestick foot with a fluted collar. He is finished in a deep aged bronze style finish, dark grounds brushed through with warm gold tones.
At 43.5cm tall he suits the centre of a dining table, a mantel, or a hall console, holding a potted fern, dried stems, or a full-skirted arrangement that spills past his rim.

| Style | French Provincial · classical · vintage |

Guido dresses a table the way a candlestick dresses a mantel.
Stylist's TipStand him near candlelight in the evening. The gold brushing over the dark ground is made for flame, and the fleur de lis catches it first.
Dust with a soft dry cloth. Use an inner sleeve or keep fresh flowers in their own vessel inside him rather than filling him with water, and lift him by the cup and foot together.
Iron, finished in a dark aged bronze style finish with warm gold tones brushed across the surface and the fleur de lis emblem.
We recommend a slim jar or sleeve inside for fresh stems. It protects the finish and makes water changes simple, while dried stems can go straight in.
Yes, a small nursery pot sits inside the trumpet, and a fern or trailing plant looks wonderful arching from his rim. Keep watering to the inner pot.
No, it is a soft, aged glow rather than polish. The dark ground does most of the talking and the gold tones only show themselves as the light moves.
Very close. The gold brushing is applied by hand, so where it falls across the dark ground varies a little from piece to piece, which is part of the intended character.
Because Guido is hand-finished, slight variations in patina, texture, and grain are natural and add to the unique character of each piece. Colour may also vary slightly between screens, all photography is taken in natural light.

Odette French Provincial Swan Planter, Whitewashed Magnesia Garden Decor 43cm
Fits in beautifully with the fairy garden vibe I'm creating fir my great grandchildren.
Lady Ophelia French Provincial Fairy Statue, Natural Rust Cast Iron 30cm
It was my testing the waters first purchase to check out this new store & what’s on offer. I loved the idea of supplying cast iron cute animal figurines as they’re practical, good looking, solid durable material, great rust finish (no need to buy expensive rust effect paint). Just ready to weather and brings a smile on your dial. I placed my frog with his hands up as if in religious praying gesture next to the concrete funny sign scored at Vinnies reading: grant me patience Lord but hurry - I believe the praying frog and the sign go comically together. I’m thinking of getting the other frog too in its hilarious pose possibly in green patina for contrast. I can confirm it’s heavy cast iron with attractive rust patina. These casts fill the gap in the market dominated by laser cut cortina steel offerings. Just something old school different and complimentary to your garden /house decor. Pleased it’s introduced to Australian market and once for change not made in China… but in France known for its cast iron tradition. We own 18th century French anvil won at an antique auction which is our proud possession so happy to score more in heavy casts.
The Frog Prince French Provincial Frog Statue, Natural Rust Cast Iron 30cm
I got this little figurine as a freebie & it’s pretty cute. Heavy cast metal nice detail to it. He would look great in larger sizes too I think.
Mr Capone French Provincial Terrier Statue in a Bowler Hat, Natural Rust Cast Iron 14.5cm
This may not show on the store website that well but they’re actually old gold colour. It’s lightweight thin metal so perhaps inside or sheltered outdoor space would suit them the best as it may rust out & some fragile parts of the tail break exposed to the weather. They’re as large as described, cleverly designed for packaging - legs are separate with tightening screw. They make an impact due to their size & fit almost any decor with the colour & style.

Guido French Provincial Fleur de Lis Urn Vase, Aged Bronze Finish 43.5cm
I bought this piece as I could see it in my mind's eye having an suspended impact with my high end Brazilian quartz crystal display. Such a well made piece, sturdy and if I didn't know better, from another time. I am planning a candle holder from Chateau Living to complete this display, just having trouble deciding from the elegant range they have available. Very pleased :) Who would have thought you could combine Brazil with French Provincial so perfectly.

Store owner replied: Corinne, a frog doing a handstand for the grandchildren to find is exactly the job we had in mind for him. Thank you for sharing the photo. Lucie
It’s beautiful the only things I thought disappointing Were .. it’s a bit smaller than indicated by 3 cms across the bowl And it’s pretty much all grey not a rustic patchy colour It’s still beautiful
The Willowmere Grey French Provincial Pedestal Bird Feeder, Weathered Grey Cast Iron 58cm
Store owner replied: Thank you so much for the honest review and the photo, Lynne, and I'm so glad you still find her beautiful. The 30cm is measured across the dish including the little bird perched on the rim, so the bowl itself is a few centimetres smaller. We'll make that clearer on the listing. The grey version has a weathered stone finish, chalky on the raised edges and darker in the recesses, so it reads as mostly grey. If you ever fall for the patchier rustic look, the Willowmere also comes in a natural rust finish. Lucie
