Audette is an arched wall piece, a soft floral still life set in a distressed fir wood frame. The image is a loose, painterly bouquet of red and pink roses with green foliage, gathered in a pale vase against a quiet lavender ground, in the manner of an old oil study.
The frame is the charm of it, an arched timber moulding with a worn white inner border, rubbed back so the wood shows through. It has the look of something rescued from an old French house, the paint softened by years rather than new.
It hangs beautifully on its own, or alongside its companion piece, Nadine, which carries a bouquet of soft white blooms. Nadine is sold separately. The candles, books, and other styling in the photographs are not included.
