Leila is a tealight lantern raised on a slim tripod stand, in aged metal with an antique gold finish. The body is pierced with a mandala filigree pattern and trimmed with a row of white cotton tassels, and a small inner cup holds the tealight. Once lit, the light throws the pattern outward through the cut-outs.

It stands 38.5cm tall on three splayed legs, slim enough for a side table, shelf, or bedside. Drop a tealight, standard or LED, which is not included, into the inner cup. The aged gold is mottled and lightly worn, with the white tassels softening the metal.

Care & Keeping

Dust gently with a soft dry cloth, and keep the cotton tassels away from the flame, an LED tealight is safest near the trim. Keep it dry and indoors, since the antique gold finish and the tassels can mark in damp or direct sun.

Because Leila is hand-finished, slight variations in patina, texture, the depth of the gold, and the tassel trim are natural and add to the character of each piece. Colour may also vary slightly between screens, all photography is taken in natural light.
