Cassius is a study of the male form cast in magnesia and set on a slim iron stand. He stands square and frontal, shoulders broad, the surface wearing an antique whitewash that flakes away at the collar and hip to show warm terracotta beneath. The chest and abdomen are modelled with enough depth to hold shadow under lamplight.
At around 25 cm on its base, Cassius sits on a console, a stack of books, or a bathroom shelf without crowding what surrounds it. He is the upright half of a companion pair with Adonis, the two designed to stand together, though each is sold on its own.
