The Lucien stands at 150 cm tall, its narrow rectangular frame finished in a heavily distressed whitewash that has worn back to expose the warm honey tones of the timber beneath. Applied ornate scrollwork, separate moulded pieces in a softer chalk-white finish, sits at the crown and base of the frame, the contrast between the painted ornament and the worn timber doing all the work.

Care & Keeping

Display indoors only, away from direct moisture and prolonged direct sunlight. Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth or a soft long-bristled brush to reach into the scrollwork detail. Clean the glass with a slightly damp microfibre, taking care not to soak the timber frame or scrollwork ornaments. Avoid wet cloths and chemical cleaners on the painted surfaces, the whitewashed finish is intentionally aged and may lift if dampened. The distressed finish is intentional; small variations in patina, paintwork, and timber grain are part of the piece's character. For safety, ensure the mirror leans firmly against a flat wall and consider a discreet wall-anchor strap in homes with children or pets.
