A graceful swan with her head bowed, ready to cradle a posy of garden blooms or a trailing fern.
Genevieve is a freestanding swan planter cast in magnesia composite with a softly distressed antique-white finish. The feathers are sculpted in low relief across the wings and breast, and the warm clay base shows through where the paint has been rubbed back, giving her the look of a piece pulled from an old French walled garden.
She stands 40.5 cm tall and 41 cm long, sized for a console, a hallway table, a verandah, or a courtyard or garden corner. Plant her up with trailing ivy and primulas in spring, or leave her empty as a sculptural piece in her own right.

How to style it
Genevieve is happy on her own, but she sings in company.
- Pair her with the matching swan (sold separately) for a symmetrical console or hallway moment.
- Plant her with trailing ivy, primulas, or a small fern, then layer in a stone cherub or putto nearby.
- Set her on a verandah or garden ledge alongside other French country garden pieces.
- Use her empty as a sculptural object on a hallway console with one of our arched mirrors above.
Stylist's Tip For live planting, drop a small plastic liner pot inside the cavity rather than potting directly. It protects the finish and lets you swap seasonal arrangements without lifting Genevieve at all.
Care & Keeping
Magnesia composite is frost-resistant and made for outdoor life. In the open garden the painted finish will soften and weather over time, which adds to the aged look. Keep her out of standing water, and a clear outdoor sealer once a year will help the finish last longer. Avoid harsh chemicals and abrasive cleaners. For live planting, use a plastic liner pot to keep moisture off the interior.

Can I use her outdoors?
Yes. Magnesia composite is frost-resistant and far more weather-tolerant than terracotta, so she can sit in the open garden, a courtyard or on a verandah. Is the second swan in the photos included?
No. The second swan shown in some photos is a sister piece sold separately. The two are designed as a pair, with their necks curving in opposite directions, so you can style them facing one another. Florals, props, and styling pieces shown in photos are not included.
