Fabien French Provincial Compote Urn Planter, Distressed Antique White 21cm

Fabien is a compote urn planter in aged metal, a low wide bowl with twin scrolled handles on a turned pedestal foot. The bowl is gadrooned in soft ribs with an embossed band of linked ovals below the rim. The finish is a chalky, distressed antique white, crusty and speckled with rust tones so it reads as a long-loved garden piece.

It stands 21.5 cm tall and about 34.5 cm across the handles, a low, wide shape made for a centrepiece. The open bowl suits a loose, spreading arrangement or a potted plant dropped inside. Use it on a dining table, a console or a mantel, indoors or in a sheltered spot. The arrangement shown is for styling and is not included.

Care & Keeping

Dust gently with a soft dry cloth. Keep it indoors or in a sheltered, covered spot for the longest life. Left outdoors the chalky paint will keep wearing and the metal will rust further, which suits the look. Use a potted plant or a waterproof liner inside rather than planting directly, and avoid leaving water sitting in it.
