Oscar is a two tier basket carrier made of metal, with two round mesh baskets, a smaller one above a larger one, held in a tall wire frame. Scrolled wire supports link the tiers and a grip handle arches over the top, so you can lift the whole thing and move it in one go. The finish is a rustic rust-brown, weathered and uneven across the mesh and the braided rims.

It earns its keep as a carrier, gather produce, eggs, garden cuttings, craft bits, or bathroom odds and ends across the two levels and carry them where you need them. It also makes a lovely two tier planter, sit potted herbs or trailing greenery in each basket, with a liner or a pot to hold soil since the mesh is open. At 60cm tall it has real presence on a bench, a sideboard, or a covered patio.

Care & Keeping

Dust gently with a soft dry cloth or a soft brush to lift dust from the mesh. The rust-brown finish is part of the look, so handle it as a decorative, weathered piece rather than a sealed one. Keep it indoors or in a covered, sheltered spot, since full exposure to rain will deepen the rust over time. Sit pots, damp items, or anything loose on a liner or in an inner pot, as the base is open mesh. Lift it by the handle rather than the baskets.
