A handbag worked in antique gold metal, scattered with embossed stars.
Nicole is a decorative planter in the shape of a handbag, pressed from metal in a warm antique gold finish and embossed all over with little stars and dots. The top edge is scalloped and trimmed with a twisted rope line, and two arched strap handles are fixed on with round studs.
Drop a potted plant inside, fill it with dried or faux stems, or set it out empty as an object on its own. It is the smallest of three sizes, after the larger Zoé and Aurore, both sold separately. Plants and stems are not included.

Care & Keeping
Dust with a soft dry cloth, and buff gently to bring back the shine on the raised stars. Keep it indoors. If you are using it for a live plant, sit the plant in a liner or inner pot so water does not mark the metal.

Can I plant straight into it?
Best not to. It has no drainage hole, so sit your plant in a plastic liner or a separate inner pot. That keeps soil and water off the metal and lets you swap plants easily.
Can I use it outside?
It is made for indoors. The gold finish is for display, and weather will dull it. A covered, dry spot is the most it should see.
How big is it, and what are the other sizes?
Nicole is the smallest, about 29 cm to the top of the handles and 25 cm wide. Zoé is the middle size and Aurore the largest, both sold separately.
What can I put in it?
A small potted plant in a liner, dried or faux stems, or use it empty for open storage. It is a decorative piece, so it is happiest with light, dry contents.
Will mine look exactly like the photos?
Close, with small differences. Each one is hand-finished, so the gold tone and the way the antiquing settles into the stars vary a little from piece to piece. That is part of the character.
Because Nicole is hand-finished, slight variations in patina, texture and tone are natural and add to the unique character of each piece. Plants and stems are not included. Colour may also vary slightly between screens, all photography is taken in natural light.
