Serge Distressed White Milk Churn Vase, Embossed Metal with Handles

Serge is a small milk churn vase in painted metal, with two little side handles and a rolled rim above a body of embossed blossoms. The finish is a chalky distressed white, rubbed back at the rim and base so the dark metal shows through, the way an old dairy can looks after years in a shed.

It stands about 28 cm tall and 21 cm across, a good size for a kitchen bench, a hall table or a hearth. Fill it with dried stems, faux flowers or a loose bunch of foliage, or stand it empty as a farmhouse piece on its own. The white pairs easily with timber, terracotta and stone.

Care & Keeping

Dust with a soft dry cloth. The worn paint and the bare patches are part of the distressed finish rather than faults. Keep Serge indoors or under cover. It suits dried and faux stems best, so for fresh flowers sit a small watertight jar inside rather than filling the churn with water, which protects the finish and your surface.
