A star-pierced cage that throws the candlelight out in points across the wall.
Rueben is a star-pierced lantern in aged metal with a weathered rust finish, the smaller of a pair. The body is a cylinder of geometric star fretwork, topped by a domed, pierced cap with a ring handle and finial. The cap lifts on a small hinge so you can set a candle inside, and when it is lit the cutwork throws the light out in fine stars.
At 34 cm it suits a table, a shelf, a hearth or a step, indoors or on a covered verandah, and the ring handle means it can hang as well. Use it on its own, or beside the taller Yannick for a graduated pair. The look is French Provincial with a Moroccan, rustic edge.

It is a relaxed, earthy kind of candlelight.
