Candlelight through a tall column of mesh, with one fleur-de-lis to catch it.
Stephanie is the taller lantern in the pair, a 38.5 cm column of fine aged gold metal mesh wrapped around a clear glass hurricane. The moulded fleur-de-lis medallion sits front and centre, its scrollwork raised against the diamond weave. A fluted dome lifts on a small clasp, and the ring handle lets you hang her from a hook or a branch.
She takes a standard pillar candle and casts a tall, soft pattern up a wall or along a table. Keep her indoors, or under a covered patio out of the rain. On her own she anchors a console; next to the shorter Sophie she gives you two heights to step a grouping.

How to style it
She earns her keep on a larger surface where height reads.
- Anchor a console or hall table beside other candle holders
- Line her up with more lanterns at varying heights along a sideboard
- Bring her onto a covered patio with garden and outdoor pieces for evening dinners
- Pair her with the shorter Sophie for a two-height centrepiece
Stylist's Tip Give the tall column a tall candle. A pillar that fills about two thirds of the glass keeps her proportions right, and a flameless LED on a timer means she lights herself at dusk.
Care & Keeping
Dust gently with a soft dry cloth, and slide the glass out to hand wash it once soot builds up. Keep the metal dry; under cover is fine, but bring her inside for heavy weather so the aged finish lasts. Never leave a burning candle unattended, and a flameless LED removes the risk entirely.

Can Stephanie live outside?
Under cover, yes. A sheltered patio or verandah suits her as long as she stays dry. Direct rain and full sun will age the metal faster, so bring her in for storms and over winter.
What rooms does she suit?
French Provincial, French country and cottage interiors first. The mesh and fleur-de-lis also settle into transitional and Hamptons-style rooms wanting one tall, candlelit feature.
How tall is she?
38.5 cm tall and 18.5 cm across the base, taller than a standard bottle of wine by a fair margin. She holds a regular pillar candle of roughly 7 to 8 cm wide.
Will mine match the photos exactly?
Each lantern is hand-finished, so patina and the depth of the gold vary a little between pieces. Light marks in the finish belong to the aged character rather than counting as faults.
Is the candle included, and does she come with the smaller one?
The candle is styling only and not included. Stephanie sells on her own as the taller size. The shorter Sophie is a separate listing if you want the pair.
Because Stephanie is hand-finished, slight variations in patina, texture, and grain are natural and add to the unique character of each piece. Colour may also vary slightly between screens, all photography is taken in natural light.
