Naxos is a hanging planter in iron, his fluted cup rimmed with a band of pierced filigree lace and finished below with a turned spire drop finial. Three fine chains gather to a single hook above, and the whole piece wears an aged gold finish rubbed back to darker tones.
Hanging 75cm from hook to finial with a cup around 19cm across, he lifts succulents or a trailing plant to eye level on a verandah, from a pergola, or by a bright window indoors.

Three fine chains rise from the rim to a single hook, so he hangs level from a beam, bracket, or branch. Fix him to something rated well above his planted weight.
What plants suit the cup?
Succulents, trailing plants, and small ferns in a nursery pot around 15cm or less. Keep the planting light rather than filling him with heavy wet soil.
Can he live outside?
He suits a sheltered spot, a covered verandah, a pergola, or a garden room. Left in open weather the aged finish will keep weathering over time.
Does water drain from the cup?
Keep plants in their own pot inside him and water them at the sink, then hang them back once drained. It protects the finish and whatever sits below him.
Will mine look exactly like the photos?
Very close. The aged gold is rubbed back by hand, so the pattern of wear shifts a little from piece to piece, which is part of the intended character.
