Patrick is a goblet urn planter, a tall amphora bowl with small scroll handles raised on a reeded stem. It is cast magnesia composite with a cabled rope-twist collar, acanthus detail below the handles, a beaded band and a leaf-tipped square plinth. The finish is a dark lead-grey, dusty and weathered, the soft charcoal of an old lead garden urn.
It stands 43 cm tall, taller and narrower than a classic Medici urn, so it draws the eye up. The bowl suits a single fern or a soft trailing plant, or it can stand empty as a sculptural piece.
