Jérôme French Provincial Urn Planter, Antique White Metal

A trumpet-mouthed garden urn in chalky antique white, freckled with rust the way a real garden piece earns it over a few seasons.

Jerome is a tall pedestal urn in pressed metal, finished in a chalky antique-white coat that has been worn back and left with rust-toned freckling across the body. A band of applied swag and laurel relief runs below the flared rim, sitting over a gadrooned lower bowl and a turned stem on a scalloped domed foot.

At 58 cm tall it reads as a floor piece rather than a tabletop one. It suits an entry, a hearth, a covered verandah or a shaded garden corner, planted with a fern or left bare as a sculptural shape. Plants and arrangement shown are not included.

Care & Keeping

Dust gently with a soft dry cloth. Use a liner or a dropped-in pot rather than planting directly, and tip out any water that collects so the inside stays dry. The aged white finish and rust freckling are part of the look and will keep settling if it lives outdoors, so keep it under cover if you want to slow that down.

Because Jerome is hand-finished, slight variations in patina, texture and grain are natural and add to the unique character of each piece. Colour may also vary slightly between screens, all photography is taken in natural light.
