A little golden goblet that gave up the sideboard and took to the air.
Nino is a hanging urn planter in iron, his bell shaped cup ringed with fine banding and tapering to a turned drop finial below. Three fine chains rise from his rim to a single hook, and the whole of him wears an antique gold patina brushed over darker tones.
His cup is 15.5cm across and 21.5cm deep, hanging 79cm from hook to finial, the right size for a trailing succulent by a bright window, on a verandah, or from a garden arch.

Care & Keeping
Dust with a soft dry cloth and keep him under cover if he lives outdoors. Sit plants inside in a nursery pot, hang him from a fixing rated well above his planted weight, and cradle the cup from below when lifting him down.

What plants suit the cup?
Trailing succulents, a small fern, or ivy in a nursery pot around 13cm or less. His deep cup hides the pot completely so only the green shows.
Can he live outside?
He suits a sheltered spot, a covered verandah, a pergola, or a garden room. Left in open weather the patina will keep weathering over time.
Does water drain from the cup?
Keep plants in their own pot inside him and water them at the sink, then hang them back once drained. It protects the finish and whatever sits below.
Will mine look exactly like the photos?
Very close. The patina is brushed by hand, so the balance of gold and dark tones shifts a little from piece to piece, which is part of the intended character.
