Giorgio French Provincial Hanging Lantern Stand, Two Mesh Shades, Aged Iron 84cm

A little iron tree that carries its own lanterns, lit like dusk in a walled garden.

Giorgio is a candle stand shaped as a branching tree in aged iron, a small bird resting at his crown and budded twigs reaching from the trunk. From his two hooked branches hang a pair of mesh dome shades on fine chains, each with a pierced floral collar, a shaped finial cap, and a lace edged skirt around the rim.

Each shade holds a votive or small pillar candle on its tray, so the light glows softly through the open weave. At 84cm tall he turns a side table, a buffet, or a sheltered verandah corner into somewhere you want to stay.

Care & Keeping

Dust with a soft dry brush so the texture keeps its character, and lift him by the trunk rather than the branches. If he lives outdoors, keep him under cover and out of the rain so the aged finish stays as intended.

Because Giorgio is hand-finished, slight variations in patina, texture, and grain are natural and add to the unique character of each piece. Colour may also vary slightly between screens, all photography is taken in natural light.
