Elias is a wall shelf finished with a pierced fretwork apron, its fleur de lis pattern hanging below the ledge like lacework, held at each end by a small corbel. The chipped white finish wears back to warm timber, gold, and grey blue, so every scroll catches a different tone.

Is the chipped paint intentional?
Yes, entirely. The white is rubbed and chipped back by hand to reveal the timber, gold, and grey layers beneath, so he arrives already carrying his history.
What is he made of?
Elias is MDF beneath the distressed painted finish, which lets the fretwork hold its crisp pierced detail.
What fits on the ledge?
Light decorative pieces, a bottle vase, a small urn, a candle, a picture frame. He is a display ledge rather than a bookshelf, so keep the load pretty and light.
Will mine look exactly like the photos?
Very close. The distressing is worked by hand, so where the white gives way to the layers beneath varies from piece to piece, which is part of the intended character.
