The body is a twist of open wire mesh with a banded base, topped by an embossed, pierced collar and a looped carry handle. A clear glass insert sits inside on a small stand to hold a pillar candle and shield the flame.

At 31 cm tall and 21.5 cm across at its widest, it has real presence on a table, a hearth or a step, indoors or on a covered verandah, and the handle means it can hang or be carried out to the garden.
