A tall gilded stand and a glass hurricane, candlelight raised up off the floor.
Sylvestre is a tall floor candle holder, a slender stand in aged metal with an antique gold finish. A turned stem rises from a fluted round base through a softly weathered ball knop to a cup at the top, where a clear glass hurricane, rimmed top and bottom with a fine beaded trim, holds a single pillar candle and shields the flame.
At 77.5 cm tall it stands on the floor, lovely beside a hearth, in an entryway, at the foot of a staircase or either side of a console or doorway. It is the shorter of a pair; the taller Yves stands at 89.5 cm, and the two together make a graceful graduated set. The look is French Provincial with a quietly grand, formal edge.

How to style it
It brings height and a warm, formal glow.

Care & Keeping
Dust the metal with a soft dry cloth. Lift out the glass hurricane to wash it clear of soot now and then. Keep it indoors and out of wet so the antique gold finish stays at its best. If you burn a real candle, never leave it unattended and keep it clear of anything that can catch.

Can I use it outside?
It is made for indoors. You can use it on a covered patio or verandah for an event, but keep it out of wet and bring it in afterwards, as the antique gold finish is not meant for constant weather.

Sylvestre stands 77.5 cm tall. Its match is the taller Yves at 89.5 cm; together they make a graduated pair, and each is sold separately.
Is it good for weddings or events?
Yes. A pair either side of an aisle, entry or cake table gives height and warm candlelight, and they work just as well at home afterwards. The candle is not included.
Because Sylvestre is hand-finished, the antique gold varies a little from piece to piece, so no two are quite the same. Colour may also vary slightly between screens; all photography is taken in natural light.
