Clement French Country Chevron Vase, Distressed Cream 46cm

A tall vase with a chevron-ribbed body in chalky cream, worn back to a warm terracotta base.

Clement is a tall vase cast in magnesia composite with a deep chevron rib running down the body, like a herringbone or a feather. The chalky cream surface is worn back over a terracotta-toned base, so the raised ribs read pale while the recesses show the warm clay underneath.

At 46.5cm it stands on the floor in a corner or on a console as a piece on its own. Fill it with tall dried branches, bare stems, pampas or foraged twigs. The texture and the worn finish carry it, so it looks good standing empty too.

How to style it

Clement is a floor-scale vase that holds its own. A few ways:

• Stand tall dried branches or bare twigs in it for height
• Place it on the floor in a corner or beside a console
• Group it with other vases at different heights
• Leave it empty as a sculptural piece where the texture can be seen

Care & Keeping

Dust with a soft dry cloth. The magnesia is porous and not sealed, so use Clement as a dry vase for branches and dried stems, or drop a glass or plastic liner inside if you want fresh flowers in water. Keep it indoors and out of damp, and wipe up any spills promptly.

Because Clement is hand-finished, slight variations in tone, texture and the terracotta showing through are natural and add to the character of each piece. Colour may also vary slightly between screens, all photography is taken in natural light.
