The widest of the three, in a grey that behaves like a neutral.
Zélie is a metal wall panel with the flower pressed out of the surface so the petals stand clear of the backing. She is metal right through, hand-finished in a soft grey that has been rubbed back over the high points of the relief, which is what makes the detail read from across a room. No two panels take the finish in quite the same way.
At 32cm across she is the broadest of the three, 27cm high and 6cm deep. That extra width makes her the easiest one to hang on her own, over a bedhead, a low bench, or a stretch of wall in a bedroom or spare room. She weighs about 0.26 kg, so a single picture hook is enough. If you already own the dark brown or the green panel she will sit beside them without competing, and all three are sold together as a set. Browse the rest of our wall decor if you are building a wall out.
Why we love it
◆The widest of the three, 32cm across, which is why she is the one that can carry a wall by herself
◆Grey that behaves, hand-finished and rubbed back, so it goes with white, cream, blue and timber without a fight
◆Relief you can read, the raised petals catch light and the rubbed finish keeps the outlines visible from a distance
◆A calm anchor for a group, hang her centre and let the dark brown and green panels sit either side

How to style it
Zélie is the quiet one, so give her a wall where you want texture without another colour in the room.
Hang her centred above a bedhead in a guest room, where her width matches the bed better than a small frame would.
Put her on a blue or soft charcoal wall, where the rubbed grey lifts instead of disappearing.
Sit her above a bench or sideboard with a pair of candle holders below for height.
Use her as the centre of a set of three, with the dark brown to one side and the taller green to the other.
Stylist's TipGrey on a white wall can go flat. Angle a lamp or a downlight across her rather than straight at her, and the raised petals do the rest.
Care & Keeping
Grey shows dust sooner than the other two, so a light pass with a dry soft brush every week or so keeps her looking right. If she picks up a mark, a barely damp cloth and an immediate dry will lift it. Do not scrub the high points, that is where the finish has been rubbed back on purpose. Indoor use only, and keep her clear of steady damp.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the grey warm or cool?
Neither strongly. It is a soft mid grey, rubbed back over the raised areas, which is why it sits comfortably with both cream and blue.
Is she big enough to hang on her own?
She is the widest of the three at 32cm, so yes on a small to medium wall. Above a full wall of empty plaster you would want her grouped with the other two.
What is she made from?
Metal, embossed with the floral relief and then finished by hand in grey. Nothing is printed on.
How far does she stand off the wall?
About 6cm, between the 4cm green panel and the 8cm dark brown one. Worth measuring if she is going in a hallway people walk through.
Do the three colours have the same flower?
They are the same family of embossed blooms in different sizes and colours, not identical copies. That is what makes them work as a group rather than looking repeated.
Because Zélie is hand-finished, slight variations in the tone of the grey and in the embossing are natural and add to the character of each piece. Colour may also vary slightly between screens, all photography is taken in natural light.

I have never been a clock-watcher, but all that changed with Maude. I can't stop looking at her. Out of the box, slip in an AA battery and on to the wall, just like that! She is simply gorgeous.
This is a present for my horse loving daughter in law. I'm sure it will take pride of place on her mantle piece. Again I love this Web site which I will be visiting often.
Found this beautiful elegant Swan for my garden online via a search at Chateau Living. A great price, quality and excellent ordering and delivery. Would definitely purchase from this business again. They have such a beautiful variety of products.
It was my testing the waters first purchase to check out this new store & what’s on offer. I loved the idea of supplying cast iron cute animal figurines as they’re practical, good looking, solid durable material, great rust finish (no need to buy expensive rust effect paint). Just ready to weather and brings a smile on your dial. I placed my frog with his hands up as if in religious praying gesture next to the concrete funny sign scored at Vinnies reading: grant me patience Lord but hurry - I believe the praying frog and the sign go comically together. I’m thinking of getting the other frog too in its hilarious pose possibly in green patina for contrast. I can confirm it’s heavy cast iron with attractive rust patina. These casts fill the gap in the market dominated by laser cut cortina steel offerings. Just something old school different and complimentary to your garden /house decor. Pleased it’s introduced to Australian market and once for change not made in China… but in France known for its cast iron tradition. We own 18th century French anvil won at an antique auction which is our proud possession so happy to score more in heavy casts.
This may not show on the store website that well but they’re actually old gold colour. It’s lightweight thin metal so perhaps inside or sheltered outdoor space would suit them the best as it may rust out & some fragile parts of the tail break exposed to the weather. They’re as large as described, cleverly designed for packaging - legs are separate with tightening screw. They make an impact due to their size & fit almost any decor with the colour & style.
I was so happy with Chateau Living. Brilliant customer service & speedy delivery. How lucky we are to have an Australian option giving us all these beautiful items for our homes. Highly recommend
I bought this piece as I could see it in my mind's eye having an suspended impact with my high end Brazilian quartz crystal display. Such a well made piece, sturdy and if I didn't know better, from another time. I am planning a candle holder from Chateau Living to complete this display, just having trouble deciding from the elegant range they have available. Very pleased :) Who would have thought you could combine Brazil with French Provincial so perfectly.
