Benoît French Provincial Urn Planter, Distressed Antique White 32cm

Benoît is a twin-handled urn planter in aged metal, the classic campana garden shape with ornate scrolled handles. The bowl is fluted and reeded with a band of egg-and-dart and a gadrooned lower body, raised on a turned foot. The finish is a distressed antique white, chipped and rubbed back to a rust-toned metal so it reads as a genuinely old piece.

It stands 32 cm tall and about 37 cm across the handles, a tabletop size that suits a console, a shelf or a planted centrepiece. The chippy white and rust finish is the look, so it earns its place empty as much as planted. This is a single piece from the container, so there is just one available. The fern shown is for styling and is not included.

Care & Keeping

Dust gently with a soft dry cloth. Keep it indoors or in a sheltered, covered spot for the longest life. Left outdoors the distressed paint will keep wearing and the metal will rust further, which suits the look if that is what you want. Use a potted plant or a waterproof liner inside rather than planting directly, and avoid leaving water sitting in it.

Because Benoît is hand-finished, the chipping, antique white and rust tones vary across the piece and are part of its character. Colour may also vary slightly between screens, all photography is taken in natural light.
