Alba Antique Bronze Lidded Trinket Box Set of 2, Pierced Metal, Bow Lid

A pair of little lidded boxes in worn bronze, each tied with a metal bow, pretty closed on a dresser and prettier still with a tealight glowing through the sides.

Alba is a set of two round boxes in pierced antique bronze, the sides cut in a fine lattice with rosette medallions and edged with a beaded rim. A curled metal bow sits on each flat lid, and the finish carries a soft verdigris green over the bronze.

The larger box is about 22cm across, the smaller 18cm, so they stack or sit side by side. Keep trinkets and keepsakes inside with the lid on, or lift the lid and set a battery tealight in the base so the light shows through the piercing.

Care & Keeping

Dust with a soft dry brush to clear the piercing, and wipe with a barely damp cloth, drying straight after. Keep them indoors and out of steady damp, which will mark the finish. Use a battery tealight rather than a real flame inside, and keep the inside dry.

Because Alba is hand-finished, the antique bronze, the verdigris patina, and the surface marks vary from piece to piece and add to the character of each one. Colour may also vary slightly between screens, all photography is taken in natural light.
