Beau is a small amphora vase in painted metal, a rounded body that draws in to a narrow neck with two tall angular handles running up the shoulders. The finish is a chalky distressed sage green, worn back at the neck and base so the dark metal underneath shows through, the look of a piece that has been handled for years.

It stands about 26.5 cm tall and 18 cm across, an easy size for a coffee table, a shelf or a bedside. The narrow neck holds a loose bunch of stems upright on its own, so it works with dried grasses, faux blooms or a few branches. The muted sage sits well with timber, linen and other soft, faded colours.

Dust with a soft dry cloth. The worn paint and the bare patches are part of the distressed finish rather than faults. Keep Beau indoors or under cover. It suits dried and faux stems best, so for fresh flowers sit a small watertight jar inside rather than filling the vase with water, which protects the finish and your surface.
