A round of reclaimed look fir on a teardrop of hammered bronze, the side table that looks inherited rather than bought.
Tullia is a round side table with a reclaimed look fir top, boards laid edge to edge with their knots and grain left showing. Beneath it a hammered teardrop pedestal in metal wears a deep bronze finish, its surface dimpled and mottled so it reads decades old.
At 60cm across and 53cm tall she sits at armrest height beside a sofa or reading chair, with room for a lamp, a book, and the drink that goes with it.
Why we love it
◆The teardrop base, a single sculptural pedestal instead of the usual four legs
◆The hammered finish, deep bronze, dimpled and mottled so it reads found rather than factory made
◆The fir top, reclaimed look boards with knots and grain that ask to be left bare
◆Useful scale, 60cm across with room for a lamp and a stack of books without crowding the sofa

How to style it
Tullia works hardest beside something to sit on.
Set her beside a sofa arm with a lamp and let the light rake across the hammered base
Use her as a bedside table in rooms where a full drawer unit would crowd the wall
Stand Enzo or Fiora from our planters collection beside her for greenery at two heights

Stylist's TipLet the top stay a little bare; one lamp and a small stack of books reads far more French than a crowded surface, and the grain does the decorating.
Care & Keeping
Wipe the top with a soft dry cloth and use coasters under anything wet or hot, since the fir is finished to show its grain rather than sealed like a lacquered surface. Dust the base with a dry cloth and keep her indoors.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the top real timber?
Yes, the top is fir with a reclaimed look finish, so knots, grain, and small colour shifts are part of the design.
What is the base made of?
The base is iron beneath an aged bronze finish, hammered into the teardrop shape with a dimpled surface.
How is delivery priced?
Tullia travels as freight. Enter your postcode in the freight calculator on this page for a delivery price to your door before you order.
What seating height does she suit?
At 53cm she sits level with most sofa armrests, and she works just as well beside armchairs and bed frames.
Will mine look exactly like the photos?
Very close. The hammering and bronze tones are worked by hand and the fir boards differ in grain and knots, so the pattern on both top and base is unique to each table.
Because Tullia is hand-finished, slight variations in patina, texture, and grain are natural and add to the unique character of each piece. Colour may also vary slightly between screens, all photography is taken in natural light.

I enjoyed reading the Chateau Styling Guide very much. I appreciate the collection of beautiful pieces Lucie has made available to her clients. And I agree with the idea that one should never ‘rush’ to complete a room or your home. It is so satisfying to finally find that one special piece you know will add to the look of your home. Thank you so much for this booklet. It will be a great resource to refer to.
I have never been a clock-watcher, but all that changed with Maude. I can't stop looking at her. Out of the box, slip in an AA battery and on to the wall, just like that! She is simply gorgeous.
This is a present for my horse loving daughter in law. I'm sure it will take pride of place on her mantle piece. Again I love this Web site which I will be visiting often.
Found this beautiful elegant Swan for my garden online via a search at Chateau Living. A great price, quality and excellent ordering and delivery. Would definitely purchase from this business again. They have such a beautiful variety of products.
It was my testing the waters first purchase to check out this new store & what’s on offer. I loved the idea of supplying cast iron cute animal figurines as they’re practical, good looking, solid durable material, great rust finish (no need to buy expensive rust effect paint). Just ready to weather and brings a smile on your dial. I placed my frog with his hands up as if in religious praying gesture next to the concrete funny sign scored at Vinnies reading: grant me patience Lord but hurry - I believe the praying frog and the sign go comically together. I’m thinking of getting the other frog too in its hilarious pose possibly in green patina for contrast. I can confirm it’s heavy cast iron with attractive rust patina. These casts fill the gap in the market dominated by laser cut cortina steel offerings. Just something old school different and complimentary to your garden /house decor. Pleased it’s introduced to Australian market and once for change not made in China… but in France known for its cast iron tradition. We own 18th century French anvil won at an antique auction which is our proud possession so happy to score more in heavy casts.
This may not show on the store website that well but they’re actually old gold colour. It’s lightweight thin metal so perhaps inside or sheltered outdoor space would suit them the best as it may rust out & some fragile parts of the tail break exposed to the weather. They’re as large as described, cleverly designed for packaging - legs are separate with tightening screw. They make an impact due to their size & fit almost any decor with the colour & style.
I was so happy with Chateau Living. Brilliant customer service & speedy delivery. How lucky we are to have an Australian option giving us all these beautiful items for our homes. Highly recommend
