A slender mesh lantern in antique gold, candlelight breaking through the fine lattice.
Melissa is a mesh candle lantern at 33.5 cm, a fine diamond-mesh body in aged metal finished in antique gold worn over a darker base. A domed, vented top carries a ring handle, twisted bands trim the top and bottom, and a small hinged latch opens the side to place the candle. A removable clear glass hurricane sleeve sits inside to shelter the flame. Candle not included.
Lit, the candle reads through the mesh as a soft, broken glow rather than a hard flame. At 33.5 cm it suits a console, a mantel or a sideboard, and it is the shorter of a pair with the 40 cm Arielle lantern.

How to style it
A mesh lantern is at its best where the light can break against a wall.
- Set it on a console or mantel with a pillar candle, with more from lanterns.
- Stand it beside the taller Arielle lantern for a stepped pair.
- Hang it from the ring handle on a hook or branch for an evening outdoors.
- Use a flameless LED pillar for a flame-free glow.
Stylist's Tip Keep the candle low in the sleeve so the light catches the lattice rather than washing past it. Pair the two heights for the prettiest effect.
Care & Keeping
Dust the mesh with a soft dry cloth and wipe the glass clear. Keep it dry and out of direct weather, the aged finish can mark if left damp. Open the latch to place or trim the candle, and never leave a burning candle unattended.
