A small fluted urn in aged gold, with a little bird come to rest on the rim.
Fernande is a small fluted urn vase in antique gold metal. The body flutes out to a flared mouth and sits on a slim pedestal foot, and a little cast bird perches on the rim. The gold is rubbed back to darker tones in the recesses, so it reads as a found, aged piece.
It stands about 22 cm tall and around 15 cm across at its widest. Fill it with dried grasses or a few faux stems for a mantel or a shelf, or stand it on its own and let the bird be the detail. It is metal rather than sealed glass, so for fresh flowers drop a small liner or test tube inside.

How to style it
A few ways to bring Fernande into the room.
- Fill it with dried grasses or bunny tails for a soft, neutral mantel piece.
- Add a few faux stems and stand it on a shelf or a bedside.
- Leave it empty and let the bird on the rim be the detail.
- Group it with other pieces from vases and candle holders.
Stylist's Tip Keep the arrangement low and loose so the bird stays in view. A few dried stems leaning to one side suit it better than a tall, full bunch.
Care & Keeping
Wipe with a soft, dry or barely damp cloth and dry it straight after. Keep it indoors or in a covered spot, as the finish will weather if left out in the rain. For fresh flowers, use a liner so water does not sit against the metal.
