A half moon of warm timber set on an openwork metal gallery, worn to a soft chalky white.
Rolande is a demilune wall shelf with a fir timber top and a pierced metal gallery beneath. The gallery is a ball-and-bar lattice finished in a distressed chalky white, worn back in places to the bare metal so it reads as found rather than new. The top is a clean half circle with a softly rounded front edge.
At 60.5cm along the wall and 20cm deep, it gives a generous ledge for a small plant, a stack of cups, a candle, or a framed photo. It sits flush to the wall on the straight back edge, so it works in an entry, kitchen, bathroom, or beside a bed. The chalky white and bare timber suit French provincial, cottage, and shabby chic rooms.

How to style it
Rolande is a shallow gallery shelf, so style it low and let the timber top show.
- Stand a candle from our candle holders with a few dried stems.
- Set a small framed print and a bud vase from our vases for an entry or hallway.
- Pair it with the smaller Rita half moon shelf at staggered heights, the way the photos show, or group it with other shelves and corbels.
- Keep what you place on it light so the openwork gallery stays the feature.
Stylist's Tip Hang Rolande lower and the smaller Rita higher so the pair steps up the wall. Staggered heights read more collected than a matched row.
Care & Keeping
Dust gently with a soft dry cloth, and use a dry soft brush to reach between the openwork gallery. Keep it indoors and away from damp, since the metal can mark and the timber top is not sealed for outdoor use. The distressing is part of the finish, so a little wear at the edges is intended, not a fault. Mounting hardware is not included.

Will mine look exactly like the photos?
Each piece is hand-finished, so the distressing and the way the white wears back to the metal vary a little from one to the next. These small differences are part of the character and are not faults.
Is this sold as a pair?
No. Rolande is the larger size and is sold on its own. The smaller Rita half moon shelf is a separate listing. The photos show both together so you can see how the pair looks, but each is purchased separately.
Because Rolande is hand-finished, slight variations in patina, texture, and wear are natural and add to the unique character of each piece. Colour may also vary slightly between screens, all photography is taken in natural light.
