Desiree French Provincial Leaf Tray, Long Decorative, Antique Gold

A long leaf-shaped dish in antique gold, shaped like a single fallen leaf.

Desiree is a decorative dish in antique gold metal, cast in the shape of a long leaf. A raised rib runs down the centre with veins branching off to each side, the surface is finely dotted, and the edges are cut into soft points like a real leaf. There is a short stem at one end, and the centre dips into a shallow tray.

It is about 53 cm long, so it works as a centrepiece down the middle of a table or along a console. Use it to hold a few pieces of fruit, some baubles, or simply on its own as a sculptural piece. The aged gold has a soft, mottled finish that catches the light. The candle, book, fruit and other props in the photos are styling and are not included.

Care & Keeping

Wipe with a soft, dry or barely damp cloth and dry it straight after. Keep it indoors and out of standing water, as moisture can mark the finish over time. It is a decorative dish, so use it for dry items or set a liner or plate under anything damp, oily or likely to drip.

Because the Desiree leaf dish is hand-finished, slight variations in patina, texture and tone are natural and add to the character of each piece. Colour may also vary slightly between screens, all photography is taken in natural light.
