A long leaf-shaped dish in antique gold, shaped like a single fallen leaf.
Desiree is a decorative dish in antique gold metal, cast in the shape of a long leaf. A raised rib runs down the centre with veins branching off to each side, the surface is finely dotted, and the edges are cut into soft points like a real leaf. There is a short stem at one end, and the centre dips into a shallow tray.
It is about 53 cm long, so it works as a centrepiece down the middle of a table or along a console. Use it to hold a few pieces of fruit, some baubles, or simply on its own as a sculptural piece. The aged gold has a soft, mottled finish that catches the light. The candle, book, fruit and other props in the photos are styling and are not included.

How to style it
A few ways to bring Desiree into the room.
- Run it down the centre of a dining table as a long, low centrepiece.
- Fill it with seasonal fruit, baubles or pinecones for a table or console.
- Use it as a catch-all on an entry table for keys and small things.
- Group it with a stem from vases, or browse more in trays and bowls.
Stylist's Tip Sit a pillar candle on a small glass or metal plate before you place it in the dish. It keeps wax off the gold and lets you change the look with the seasons.
Care & Keeping
Wipe with a soft, dry or barely damp cloth and dry it straight after. Keep it indoors and out of standing water, as moisture can mark the finish over time. It is a decorative dish, so use it for dry items or set a liner or plate under anything damp, oily or likely to drip.
