A pair of wire-mesh domes with a little bird on each top, set one over a candle and the light comes through the mesh like an old garden cloche.
Joel is a set of two candle cloches in aged metal, woven from fine wire mesh into a bell shape and weathered to a soft grey-green. A cast bird perches on each dome, and each sits on its own round footed tray for a candle.
The two nest together, a taller dome at 32.5cm and a shorter one at 27cm, so you can group them or split them between rooms. Set a pillar candle or a battery tealight on the tray and the mesh throws a soft, dappled glow.

How to style it
A few ways to use Joel:
- Set a pillar candle or battery tealight under each dome.
- Cluster them with other candle holders on a tray.
- Group them with lanterns along a table or mantel.
- Lift one over a small potted plant from our planters as a cloche.
Stylist's Tip Use them as a pair at different heights for the prettiest effect, one candle in each. A flickering battery tealight is the safe pick if they will sit on a shelf or be left lit.
Care & Keeping
Dust with a soft dry brush to clear the mesh, and wipe with a barely damp cloth, drying straight after. Keep them indoors or under cover, since steady damp will mark the finish. With a real candle, let it cool before moving and never leave a flame unattended.

Yes. You can lift a dome over a small pot or a keepsake as a decorative cloche, not only a candle.
Will mine look like the photos?
Each piece is hand-finished, so the grey-green and the worn patches vary. That variation is the look, not a fault.
Because Joel is hand-finished, the aged grey-green, the surface texture, and the marks vary from piece to piece and add to the character of each one. Colour may also vary slightly between screens, all photography is taken in natural light.
