Caroline French Provincial Wall Corbel Shelf, Distressed White Corinthian Capital with Timber Top

A small Corinthian capital corbel scaled down for a quiet wall, the kind of piece that gives a single candle or photo a proper architectural stage.

Caroline is a wall-mounted corbel shelf with a carved magnesium oxide composite body and a solid fir wood top. The corbel reads as a miniature Corinthian capital, with rolled scrolls framing a central floral motif and a row of stylised foliage along the base. The whole piece is finished in a soft distressed whitewash that wears back to a sandy undertone along the high points, with a warm natural timber top for contrast.

At 21.5 cm tall and 25 cm wide, Caroline is the smallest in our corbel collection, sized for a quieter wall area where the larger Marguerite and Rosalie would overpower. She works as a single architectural accent above a console, beside a doorway, in a narrow hallway, or as part of a staggered-height pair with one of her larger siblings.

Care & Keeping

Dust gently with a soft dry cloth or a soft-bristle brush for the carved scroll detail. The magnesium oxide body is porous, so avoid wet cleaning, harsh chemicals, and prolonged damp. The fir wood top can be wiped with a barely damp cloth and dried immediately. Indoor use only.

Because Caroline is hand-finished, slight variations in patina, texture, and timber grain are natural and add to the unique character of each piece. Colour may also vary slightly between screens, all photography is taken in natural light.
