A milk can that ran away to a palace, embossed with ferns and dressed in old gold.
Rudi is a lidded canister in the shape of an old farmhouse milk can, his sides embossed with a fern and star pattern and the whole of him washed in an antiqued gold finish that catches the light like something from the back of a brocante. Two small handles sit at his shoulders and a turned finial crowns the lid.
At 40.5cm tall with the lid on, he is the larger of our two canisters, happy holding dried stems with the lid set aside, or standing closed as a sculptural piece on a bench, mantel, or hearth.

Dust with a soft dry cloth. Keep him dry inside and out, he is a dry vessel for stems and keepsakes rather than a watertight vase, so use an inner liner if you ever want fresh flowers.

Very close. The antiquing is worked by hand, so where the gold deepens to shadow varies from piece to piece, which is part of the intended character.
