Thierry is a tall pedestal urn, a small classical urn cup with scrolled handles lifted up on a slim turned stem and a fluted round foot. The finish is a distressed antique white with soft rust spotting, the look of an old garden urn left out through a few seasons.

It stands about 80 cm tall, so it reads at floor height beside a door, a fireplace or a window, where most urns sit low. The cup holds a small potted plant or a few dried stems, or it can stand empty as a slim sculptural piece. It is light, made of thin metal rather than cast iron, and arrives in a few parts that fit together.

Dust with a soft dry cloth. The chipped paint and the rust spotting are part of the distressed finish rather than faults. Keep Thierry indoors or under cover, since open weather will spread the rust and wear the finish faster. For a live plant, sit a small potted plant in its own liner in the cup rather than planting straight in, and tip out any water that gathers.
