A wall-mounted planter shaped like an old French courtyard fountain, its bulbous base hand-finished in warm aged copper, the kind of piece that turns a bare wall into a small garden moment.
The Olivier stands at 55 cm tall and 32 cm wide, with a softly arched backplate and a deep, repoussé bulbous bowl that holds a generous arrangement of trailing greenery. Hand-finished iron in a warm copper patina, the kind of soft, weathered finish that looks like it has hung in a French farmhouse courtyard for decades.

Care & Keeping
Suitable for indoor and covered outdoor use. We recommend using a plastic or terracotta liner pot inside the planter rather than planting directly, which protects the metal finish from prolonged moisture and makes seasonal swaps easier. Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid wet cloths and chemical cleaners on the patina, as the aged finish is intentionally weathered. Small variations in patina tone, repoussé detail, and finish are part of the piece's character.

Does the Olivier require assembly?
Yes. To keep the piece safe in transit, the Olivier arrives flat-packed in two parts, the shaped backplate and the bowl. The two parts are joined at home before the planter is mounted to the wall. Please contact us if you would like assembly guidance before your piece arrives.
How is the Olivier mounted to the wall?
The Olivier has two pre-drilled mounting holes on the upper backplate. Use heavy-duty wall screws appropriate to your wall type (stud, masonry anchor, or hollow-wall fixing for plasterboard) rated to take the combined weight of the planter plus soil and plants when watered.
Can I plant directly into it, or do I need a liner?
We recommend using a plastic or terracotta liner pot rather than planting directly. The liner protects the patina from prolonged soil moisture and makes seasonal swaps simple. The Olivier does not have drainage holes, so a liner with drainage sitting inside on a layer of pebbles is the best approach.
Can it be used outdoors?
Yes, but only in a covered position such as an undercover patio, alfresco area, or covered courtyard. Direct rain exposure over time will accelerate weathering of the patina. For full outdoor exposure, the piece will continue to develop its aged character but the colour may shift further toward deeper rust tones.
What plants suit the Olivier best?
Trailing and cascading plants look beautiful spilling over the bulbous rim. Try spider plants, tradescantia, English ivy, string of pearls, philodendron, or trailing herbs like thyme and oregano. Upright plants like ferns or small ornamental grasses also work well if you prefer a more contained look.
