A little mesh lantern with lace borders, made to glow a candle through fine metal.
Maurice is a small lantern at 21.5 cm, an aged metal body in a fine diamond mesh, banded top and bottom with pierced, lace-pattern borders in a pale whitewashed finish. An arched handle arcs over the top, and the open weave lets candlelight scatter through. A removable glass sleeve sits inside the mesh to hold the candle. Candle not included.
At 21.5 cm it sits on a tabletop, a shelf or a windowsill, or hangs by its handle from a hook or a branch in a sheltered spot. The weathered grey-brown metal and chalky lace edges give it a found, well-kept look. It pairs with the taller Valentine lantern for a stepped set.

How to style it
Lanterns like a little glow and a little height play.
- Sit it on a tabletop or windowsill with a pillar candle, with more from lanterns.
- Hang it by the handle from a hook, a shepherd's crook or a low branch in a sheltered spot.

- Use a flameless LED pillar for a flame-free glow, indoors or on a covered table.
Stylist's Tip A wide, short pillar fills the glass sleeve best and keeps the flame low and even, well below the top of the metal.
Care & Keeping
Dust with a soft dry cloth, or a soft brush to reach into the mesh. The glass sleeve lifts out and can be washed by hand. Keep the metal dry and out of the weather, the aged finish can mark or rust if left damp. Never leave a burning candle unattended.
