Aline French Provincial Corbel Wall Shelf, Distressed White Cast Magnesia

An Ionic column capital set against the wall as a ledge, its twin scrolls and fluted base finished in a chalky distressed white.

Aline takes the crown of a classical column, the twin volutes, the central palmette, the fluted shaft below, and casts it in magnesia composite with a flat back that sits flush to the wall. The finish is a distressed whitewash, rubbed back at the high points so a warm clay tone reads through the scrolls and along the fluting.

At 39.5cm wide and 31cm tall, the flat top works as a small ledge for a candle or a framed photo. Set a pair either side of a doorway, or rest a single one on a console where it leans against the wall.

Care & Keeping

Dust gently with a soft dry cloth. Magnesia composite can chip if knocked, so handle it by the base when moving it and keep it out of direct rain. Wipe any marks with a barely damp cloth and dry straight after.

Because Aline is hand-finished, slight variations in the distressed paint, surface texture, and tone are natural and part of the character of each piece. Colour may also vary slightly between screens, all photography is taken in natural light.
