A whitewashed acanthus medallion with a small fir ledge, where a candle or a single photograph finds its place against the pattern.
Olive is a round wall panel built from a natural fir timber frame around a carved-look moulded centre. The acanthus and floral fretwork is finished in a whitewashed, lightly distressed white that lets the warm grain show through at the high points. A small fir display ledge crosses the lower third, deep enough for a framed photo, a bud vase, or a short stack of books.
At 41cm across it reads as one considered piece rather than a gallery wall, which makes it easy to place above a console, in an entry, or beside a bed. The relief catches side light, so a lamp or a nearby window gives it depth through the day. It suits a room already leaning French provincial, Hamptons, or coastal, and works on its own as readily as part of a layered wall.

How to style it
Olive is happiest where it can be seen up close and given one or two small things to hold.
- Set a framed photo and a small bud vase from our vases on the ledge for an entry or hallway.
- Group it with other shelves and corbels to build a French provincial wall.
- Add a low pillar from our candle holders with a sprig of greenery for a softer, lived-in look.
- Keep the styling low and light so the acanthus pattern stays the focus.
Stylist's Tip Keep the ledge styling in odd numbers with varied heights, one tall candle, one low frame, a little space between. Let the carving show behind whatever you set down.
Care & Keeping
Dust gently with a soft dry cloth, and run a dry soft brush through the grooves of the relief if dust settles in the fretwork. Keep it indoors and away from direct damp, since the timber and the moulded panel are not made for outdoor exposure. Avoid harsh chemicals and abrasive cloths, which can lift the whitewashed finish. The ledge is sized for light decorative items only, and fixings are not included.

Can Olive be used outdoors?
It is made for indoor use. The fir timber and moulded centre are not sealed for weather, so keep it inside or in a fully covered, dry spot away from direct damp.
What style of room does it suit?
French provincial and French country first, though the whitewashed finish also sits well in Hamptons, coastal, and soft modern rustic rooms. The neutral palette works against white, cream, sage, or warm timber walls.
How big is it?
It is round, about 41cm across and 12cm deep from the wall including the shelf. That is roughly the size of a large dinner platter, big enough to anchor a small wall on its own.
Will mine look exactly like the photos?
Each piece is hand-finished, so the distressing and the way the white sits over the grain vary a little from one to the next. These small differences are part of the character and are not faults.
How much can the shelf hold?
The ledge is shallow and meant for light decorative items, a candle, a small frame, a bud vase, or a couple of books. Mounting hardware is not included, and we suggest fixing it to a wall stud or using a wall anchor rated for the weight.
Because Olive is hand-finished, slight variations in patina, texture, and grain are natural and add to the unique character of each piece. Colour may also vary slightly between screens, all photography is taken in natural light.
