Jean Paul is a cherub candle holder in antique cream, the companion to Claude. A putto stands on a scrolled base with a tambourine, raising an urn-shaped cup with scroll handles for a pillar candle. The cream is worn back over the moulded detail, so the figure looks softly aged.
He stands 27.5 cm tall and pairs with Claude as a near-mirror set across a mantel or table, or holds his own alone. Cast from magnesia composite, he is light to lift and made for indoors. The candle shown is for styling and not included.
