A fairy perched on a ball of daisies, one leg swinging, looking up at something.
Miss Angelique is a seated fairy cast in solid iron and finished in a natural rust patina, large butterfly wings open behind her and long wavy hair over one shoulder, sitting on top of a sphere moulded all over with open daisies. One leg hangs straight down the front of the ball and her face is tilted upward. She weighs 2 kg, which is the difference between cast iron and the resin figures that copy this shape. Every petal on the sphere is worked, and the wings carry their veining right through.
At 21.5cm she is a small piece, easily lifted in one hand and best placed where people pass close enough to see the flowers. She is built for outdoor life: the iron is heavy for her size, and the rust patina is a finish rather than a fault, so weather deepens her instead of wearing her out.

How to style it
She is small and full of detail, so place her within arm's reach rather than across the garden.
- Set her on a low wall cap beside a path where you brush past
- Nestle her into the front of a bed among low flowering planting
- Stand her on an outdoor table or a potting bench
- Pair her with Lady Ophelia at 30cm for a large and small
- Group her with the rest of our garden sculptures
Stylist's TipSit the base of the ball down into low planting so the cast daisies run straight into the real ones. It is a small trick and it makes her look as though she grew there.
Care & Keeping
Wipe with a soft dry cloth to lift dust out of the wing veining and between the daisy petals. The rust patina is a finished surface and needs no sealing. Place a felt pad or a saucer underneath on pale stone or painted timber, and keep harsh chemical cleaners and abrasive pads away from her.

Can she live outside all year?
Yes. Iron with a natural rust patina is made for open weather, and rain deepens the colour rather than harming it. On pale stone or decking, set a pad underneath so run off does not mark the surface.
What is she made of?
Solid cast iron throughout, flowered sphere included, finished by hand in a natural rust patina. At 2 kg she is many times the weight of the resin fairies sold at this size.
How big is she?
11cm wide, 14cm deep and 21.5cm tall, at 2 kg net. The second photo shows her beside a 30cm wine bottle to scale.
How is she different from Lady Ophelia?
Lady Ophelia is 30cm with her chin on her hand and knees drawn up, on a sphere of mixed wildflowers. Miss Angelique is 21.5cm, looking upward with one leg hanging, on a sphere of open daisies. They are separate castings rather than two sizes of the same piece, and they sit beautifully together.
Will mine look exactly like the photos?
Close. The patina is applied by hand, so the depth and spread of the rust varies from piece to piece, and no two come out quite the same.
Because Miss Angelique is hand-finished, slight variations in patina, texture, and grain are natural and add to the unique character of each piece. Colour may also vary slightly between screens, all photography is taken in natural light.
