Bridget is a wall shelf with a whitewashed fir timber top set on a pair of moulded corbels underneath. At 100cm wide it is a long display ledge, the kind of shelf that runs above a console, a bed, or a sofa and carries a whole grouping of pieces at once.

The timber top has a soft limewashed grain, and the corbels beneath are finished in a chalky tone that gives them the look of old salvaged plasterwork. Style the top with candlesticks, framed prints, a trailing plant, or a row of books, and let the corbels do the decorative work below.

Care & Keeping

Dust with a soft dry cloth. Keep Bridget indoors and out of damp, the timber and magnesia corbels are not sealed for wet areas. Because it is a long shelf, fix it into studs or use solid anchors rated for the load, with screws and wall plugs suited to your wall type. Spread heavier objects toward the corbels rather than the centre of the span.

Because Bridget is hand-finished, slight variations in paint wear, tone and grain are natural and add to the character of each piece. Colour may also vary slightly between screens, all photography is taken in natural light.
