Carmen is a wall basket planter in aged metal, her half-round chicken wire basket crowned by a scrolled heart-shaped frame with pressed metal ornaments front and centre. The rust-toned finish is applied, the aged look without decades of waiting.
She sits flat to the wall and stands 52.5cm overall, the shorter of two sizes, with her taller sister Como at 57cm made to hang alongside.

How does she hang?
From the loop at the top of the scrolled crown, on a screw or sturdy hook. She weighs under a kilogram empty, so allow for the pot you add.
Can I plant directly into the basket?
Sit plants inside in their nursery pots with a saucer or liner. The open wire is made to show a pot, not hold soil.
Is this the taller or shorter size?
Carmen is the shorter at 52.5cm overall. The taller Como stands 57cm, and each is sold individually.
Is the rust real or a finish?
The rust tones are an applied aged finish, deliberate and even, rather than active corrosion eating the wire.
Will mine look exactly like the photos?
Very close. The ageing is applied by hand, so the mottling varies a little across the wirework, which is part of the intended character.
Because Carmen is hand-finished, slight variations in patina, texture, and grain are natural and add to the unique character of each piece. Colour may also vary slightly between screens, all photography is taken in natural light.
