On The Water
The taller of the pair, a rusted star cage that scatters light to the corners.
Yannick is the larger of the star-pierced pair, a lantern in aged metal with a weathered rust finish. The body is a tall cylinder of geometric star fretwork, topped by a domed, pierced cap with a ring handle and finial. The cap lifts on a small hinge so you can set a candle inside, and when it is lit the cutwork throws the light out in fine stars.
At 42.5 cm it has good height for a floor corner, a hearth, a console or a big table, indoors or on a covered verandah, and the ring handle means it can hang as well. Use it alone, or beside the smaller Rueben for a graduated pair. The look is French Provincial with a Moroccan, rustic edge.

How to style it
It is a relaxed, earthy kind of candlelight, with a bit more height.
- Set it with the smaller Rueben and the rest of our lanterns for layered heights.
- Stand it in a corner or on a hearth with other candle holders for a warm group.
- Place it on a console under a mirror to spread the starry light.
- Line a few along a covered verandah with our garden and outdoor pieces.
Stylist's Tip A flameless LED pillar is the easy choice here, since the cage is open metal with no glass. A taller pillar suits the extra height and pushes the star pattern further up the wall.
Care & Keeping
Dust with a soft dry cloth or a soft brush to lift dust out of the cutwork. The weathered rust is the finish, not a flaw, so there is no need to polish it back. Keep it out of constant wet; indoors or under cover keeps it looking its best. If you burn a real candle, never leave it unattended and keep it clear of anything that can catch.

Can I use Yannick outside?
Yes, on a covered verandah, patio or balcony out of driving rain. The finish is already a weathered rust, so it is happy in a relaxed outdoor spot; just keep it out of constant wet so it does not deteriorate further.
Does it come with a candle or glass?
No glass and no candle. The body is open metalwork, so a flameless LED pillar is the easy, safe choice. A real pillar works too if you prefer, with the usual care.
What style of room does it suit?
French Provincial with a Moroccan, rustic leaning. It also sits well in Mediterranean, boho, farmhouse and relaxed coastal rooms.
How big is Yannick?
It stands 42.5 cm tall on a 20.5 cm round base, a good statement height. It is the larger of a pair; the smaller Rueben is 34 cm.
Does it make a good gift?
Yes. It is a characterful, generous piece at a friendly price, good for housewarmings, weddings or as a just-because gift. Add a flameless LED pillar and it is ready to use. The candle is not included.
