A woven metal basket with a tall handle, made to be carried.
Chantal is a carry basket in distressed white metal. The sides are woven from flat metal straps, and the tall arched handle is dark wire with a rattan-wrapped grip. The white is chipped back to darker tones along the edges, so it has a worn, vintage market-basket look.
It is about 43 cm long and 26 cm wide, big enough to carry breakfast for two, a few bottles, or a stack of garden cuttings. Lift it by the handle to carry it from room to room or out to the garden, then set it down to serve. The food, candle and flowers in the photos are styling and are not included.

How to style it
A few ways to bring Chantal into the room.
- Carry breakfast or drinks out to the garden, then set it down to serve.
- Keep fruit or bread in it on a kitchen bench.
- Use it in the bathroom for rolled towels, bottles and soaps.
- Line it and gather a few potted plants, or browse more in trays and bowls and planters.
Stylist's Tip Set a folded linen napkin or a small board in the base before you fill it. It softens the look and stops smaller things slipping between the straps.
Care & Keeping
Wipe with a soft, dry or barely damp cloth and dry it straight after. Keep it indoors and out of standing water, as moisture can mark the finish and the rattan grip over time. For food, set a plate, board or liner in the base rather than placing items straight onto the metal.

Yes, the tall arched handle is a fixed part of the basket, with a rattan-wrapped grip in the centre to carry it by.
Will small things fall through?
There are gaps between the woven straps, so very small items can slip through. Set a liner, board or napkin in the base for anything small.

Yes, with a plate or board inside. It is made to carry served food rather than to hold food straight against the metal.
How big is it?
