Meline French Provincial Handled Basket, Set of 2, Distressed Zinc Metal, Scrolled Feet

Two little baskets with arched handles, the kind you would carry in from the garden.

Meline is a set of two handled baskets in distressed zinc metal, each a shallow round bowl set on three scrolled feet. A tall arched handle rises over the top, with scrolled ends, a coiled wire grip, and a whitewashed leaf trail running up each side. The finish is worn and grey, so the pair looks gathered from a French potting shed rather than new.

One basket is larger and one is smaller, so they sit together or apart. The succulents, soil, plants, urn, and flowers in the photographs are styling props and are not included.

Care & Keeping

Dust gently with a soft dry cloth. For live plants, sit a liner or inner pot inside rather than planting straight in, and empty out any water so it does not pool. Keep the pair indoors or in a sheltered spot to protect the distressed finish, and avoid harsh chemicals.

Because Meline is hand-finished, slight variations in patina, texture, and the distressing are natural and add to the character of each piece. Colour may also vary slightly between screens, all photography is taken in natural light.
