On The Water
A fluted Roman column at plinth height, weathered to the grey-brown of old garden stone and sized to lift a planted pot or a lantern just clear of the floor.
Mireille is the shorter of a graduated pair, a 63.5cm column ribbed with fine vertical fluting and capped top and bottom with a moulded torus rim. It is made from aged metal under a weathered stone-look finish, dry-brushed grey over warm brown so it reads like a salvaged garden column rather than something new.
The 33cm top takes a planted urn or a lantern, and at 2.3kg it is far lighter than solid stone, so one person can shift it from the patio to the hall. Stand it on its own, or set it in front of the taller Celeste column for a stepped pair.

How to style it
A few ways to use Mireille:
- Top it with a planted urn or pot from our planters.
- Stand a bust or figure from sculptures and statues at eye level.
- Move it out to a covered patio with the rest of the garden and outdoor pieces.
- Set it in front of the taller Celeste column for a stepped pair.
Stylist's Tip Use Mireille as the lower step of a pair, with Celeste behind, and top each with a plant of a different height. The staggered line carries the eye up and frames a doorway or hearth.
Care & Keeping
Dust with a soft dry cloth and wipe marks with a barely damp one. Keep it under cover outdoors, as the aged metal finish is not sealed for constant weather. Stand it on a level surface, and avoid very heavy or top-heavy pots on a tall column.

Can Mireille live outside?
Under cover, yes. It suits a verandah or covered patio. The aged metal finish is decorative rather than weather-sealed, so keep it out of direct rain to protect the patina.
What look does it suit?
French Provincial, French country, and cottage rooms, and it sits just as well in a Mediterranean or courtyard garden setting.
How tall is it?
63.5cm high with a 33cm round top, a little above side-table height, so a pot or lantern on top sits comfortably in view.
Do Mireille and Celeste come as a set?
They are sold individually. Mireille is the 63.5cm column and Celeste is the 71cm one, designed to step together if you want both.
Will mine match the photos exactly?
Each finish is applied by hand, so the grey-over-brown wear pattern varies a little from column to column. That variation is part of the salvaged-stone look.
Because Mireille is hand-finished, slight variations in the weathered patina, surface texture, and tone are natural and part of the character of each piece. Colour may also vary slightly between screens, all photography is taken in natural light.
