On The Water
A dome-topped lantern in distressed aged metal, pierced with a delicate floral band and finished with a hinged swing handle.
Afra stands 24 cm tall, with a diamond-mesh dome that lifts open on a side latch and a deep aged-metal body worn through to a stony grey at the edges. The pierced band around the centre throws a soft pattern of floral cut-outs onto whatever surface holds it.
Set with a single tealight on a console, mantel, or bedside, the body lights from within and the dome carries the glow upward. Pair with Amani, the matching sister piece in a different scale, for a layered French Provincial grouping on a hallway runner or sideboard.

How to style it
Afra earns its keep across the soft-furnished rooms of the house and the threshold of the entry.
- Group with Amani on a console for a paired French Provincial vignette, sister silhouettes at two heights.
- Set centre stage on a dining table at night, tealight lit, surrounded by a low arrangement of lavender or dried wheat from our vases styling.
- Stage on a bedside shelf with linen lampshades and a stack of vintage hardcovers.
- Carry to a covered verandah for evening drinks, the dome shields the flame from a light breeze.
Stylist's Tip Lift the dome and let it sit open while the candle burns to soften the glow further and release heat upward, then click the latch shut once the candle has cooled.
Care & Keeping
Wipe gently with a soft dry cloth. Do not soak in water. If used outdoors under cover, bring inside during heavy rain to preserve the patina. Trim wicks to 5 mm before relighting to avoid soot building on the inside of the dome.
