Rhodes is a pair of crown candle holders in iron with an aged bronze finish, their studded arches rising from a pierced scrollwork band to a turned finial. Each crown cradles a clear glass sleeve that keeps the flame steady and the wax off the table, and the finish is rubbed through with traces of verdigris so they arrive looking like palace attic finds.
Sold as the set of two, the larger at 20.5cm and the smaller at 21cm tall but slimmer through the band, made to sit together at different heights on a stack of books or drift apart down the table.

Yes, Rhodes is sold as the pair, the larger and the smaller crown together, each with its own glass sleeve.
What candles fit?
Pillar candles and tealights that sit inside the glass sleeves. Measure your candle against the sleeve rather than the crown, and flameless candles suit them just as well.
What are they made of?
The crowns are iron in an aged bronze style finish with removable clear glass sleeves. Candles are not included.
Is the worn finish intentional?
Yes, the bronze finish is rubbed back by hand with traces of verdigris, so they arrive already carrying a century of imagined history.
Will mine look exactly like the photos?
Very close. The aged finish is worked by hand, so where the tones deepen or the verdigris shows varies from piece to piece, which is part of the intended character.
Because Rhodes is hand-finished, slight variations in patina, texture, and grain are natural and add to the unique character of each piece. Colour may also vary slightly between screens, all photography is taken in natural light.
